On 23 February 2026 at 5:30 p.m., the network Bochum bewegt Pflege (Bochum Moves Care) held an information evening at the Alice-Salomon-Berufskolleg, designed especially for everyone interested in pursuing training in nursing and care. Participants gained a current overview of the profession and the various ways to enter the field.
With a hands-on keynote covering the content, conditions, and opportunities in care work, an open Q&A session with experts and trainees, and the opportunity — for those interested — to hold one-on-one conversations with employers or seek advice from the Employment Agency on entry options, visitors gained an in-depth insight into the care profession, including both its rewarding and its challenging sides.
Those interested took the opportunity to find out comprehensively about the care profession on site and to find answers to questions such as:
- What tasks await me in the care profession?
- What career paths and further training opportunities are available?
- What will my working hours look like, and how much will I earn?
