Try your hand at a trade instead of just talking about it: At the Dortmund Chamber of Crafts’ Hands-On Day, students in 8th grade and above can learn about various skilled trades right in the workshop and get hands-on experience themselves.

On Friday, September 25, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., the HWK training centers on Ardeystraße, Hansemann, and Körne in Dortmund, as well as in Soest, will open their workshops. Depending on the location, participants can learn about different apprenticeship trades and gain practical insight into everyday work in the skilled trades.

Space in the workshops is limited. Class-wide registration is not possible; participation requires individual registration.

Further information on the trades offered, locations, and registration is available from the Dortmund Chamber of Crafts.
